KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday).
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 150.51 and the selling rate at Rs 151.11.
Similarly, the buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 177.07 and the selling rate at Rs 177.77. The buying rate of one UK pound sterling stands at Rs 204.87 and the selling rate at Rs 205.68, while the Swiss franc is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 193.46 and a selling rate of Rs 194.23.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at Rs 109.21 and the selling rate at Rs 109.65. Likewise, the Canadian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 110.45 and a selling rate of Rs 110.89, while the Singapore dollar is valued at Rs 118.90 for buying and Rs 119.37 for selling.
Among Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.63 and the selling rate is Rs 9.66. The Chinese yuan is being exchanged at Rs 22.13 for buying and Rs 22.22 for selling.
Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal has been fixed at Rs 40.13 for buying and Rs 40.29 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 41.29 for buying and Rs 41.46 for selling.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.68 and a selling rate of Rs 4.70. The UAE dirham is priced at Rs 40.98 for buying and Rs 41.14 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 38.49 and Rs 38.65 respectively.
Similarly, 100 South Korean won are being exchanged at Rs 10.37 for buying and Rs 10.42 for selling. The Swedish krona has been fixed at Rs 16.36 for buying and Rs 16.42 for selling, while the Danish krone is valued at Rs 23.69 and Rs 23.79 respectively.
The buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.22 and the selling rate at Rs 19.30. Likewise, the Kuwaiti dinar has been set at Rs 491.54 for buying and Rs 493.50 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 398.91 and Rs 400.50, and the Omani rial at Rs 390.90 and Rs 392.46 respectively.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also fixed the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees at Rs 160 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.
The central bank stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated exchange rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
