Connect Place Seoul Station has expanded customized convenience services and content for foreign independent travelers (FIT) in response to a steep rise in foreign visitor sales, the company announced on the 10th.
The retail complex recently established new amenity spaces on its second floor, including luggage storage lockers, currency exchange kiosks, and portable battery charging services.
The venue also introduced “My Passport” kiosks where travelers can purchase essentials such as travel tote bags and neck pillows, along with “Photo T-money” kiosks that allow visitors to create customized transit cards.
The service expansion targets foreign tourists amid surging international sales. Foreign visitor sales at Connect Place Seoul Station in the fourth quarter of last year jumped 240% year-over-year and 91% quarter-over-quarter.
Hanwha Connect plans to further strengthen content offering Korean cultural experiences. The company is currently hosting a special exhibition featuring the late Kim Jung-gi, a world-renowned live drawing master.
“Connect Place Seoul Station has rapidly emerged as a landmark representing Seoul, as visitors can experience Korea’s latest trends at both the start and end of their trip,” a Hanwha Connect official said. “We will continue to expand customized convenience services and K-culture content as a global landmark for visitors.”
