KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for Sunday, keeping the rates of major foreign currencies unchanged from the previous day.

The exchange rates of the US dollar, Australian dollar, euro, pound sterling, Kuwaiti dinar and Bahraini dinar all remain stable.

On Saturday, the exchange rates of most major foreign currencies, including the US dollar, euro, pound sterling, Kuwaiti dinar and Bahraini dinar, had declined, while the Australian dollar posted a slight gain.

According to NRB, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 152.23 and the selling rate at Rs 152.83, unchanged from Saturday. On Jestha 20, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar had reached Rs 154.62 and Rs 155.22, respectively.

The buying rate of one euro has been set at Rs 173.96 and the selling rate at Rs 174.65. Similarly, one pound sterling is being bought at Rs 204.15 and sold at Rs 204.95.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 105.75 and the selling rate at Rs 106.17. One Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 494.65 and sold at Rs 496.60, while one Bahraini dinar is being bought at Rs 403.76 and sold at Rs 405.35.

NRB said the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that exchange rates quoted by commercial banks may vary and that the latest rates are available on the central bank’s website.
