Heffernan Insurance Brokers, one of the largest full-service, independent insurance brokerages in the US, has expanded its California presence by merging with Sierra Insurance Associates, a firm headquartered in Truckee, Calif.
Kevin Murphy, president of Sierra Insurance Associates, and his team have joined Heffernan Insurance Brokers, making Sierra Heffernan’s ninth California location. Murphy has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience in Truckee and the North Lake Tahoe, Calif., market and throughout California and Nevada. Sierra Insurance Associates, founded in 1998, specializes in commercial insurance, personal insurance, and employee benefits.
