KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today, setting the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 154.48 and the selling rate at Rs 155.08.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one euro has been set at Rs 173.32 and the selling rate at Rs 173.99. The buying and selling rates of one British pound sterling have been fixed at Rs 204.55 and Rs 205.35, respectively. Similarly, one Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 185.92 and a selling rate of Rs 186.64.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 107.83 and the selling rate at Rs 108.25. The buying and selling rates of one Canadian dollar are Rs 108.57 and Rs 108.99, respectively, while those of one Singapore dollar are Rs 120.68 and Rs 121.15.
The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.76 and the selling rate at Rs 9.80. Similarly, one Chinese yuan has a buying rate of Rs 23.08 and a selling rate of Rs 23.17. The buying and selling rates of one Saudi Arabian riyal are Rs 41.15 and Rs 41.31, respectively, while those of one Qatari riyal are Rs 42.42 and Rs 42.58.
The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one Thai baht at Rs 4.61 and the selling rate at Rs 4.62. The buying and selling rates of one UAE dirham are Rs 42.06 and Rs 42.23, respectively, while those of one Malaysian ringgit are Rs 37.82 and Rs 37.96.
Likewise, the buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been set at Rs 11.52 and the selling rate at Rs 11.56. The buying and selling rates of one Swedish krona are Rs 15.51 and Rs 15.57, respectively, while those of one Danish krone are Rs 23.19 and Rs 23.28.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.69 and the selling rate at Rs 19.76. The buying and selling rates of one Kuwaiti dinar are Rs 501.31 and Rs 503.26, respectively. Similarly, one Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 409.11 and a selling rate of Rs 410.70, while one Omani rial has a buying rate of Rs 401.24 and a selling rate of Rs 402.80.
The buying and selling rates of 100 Indian rupees have both been fixed at Rs 160.
The central bank has stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. Rates offered by commercial banks may differ from those fixed by the central bank, and updated rates are available on Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
