Janata Bank PLC Managing Director Md Mojibor Rahman inaugurated a 15-day training course on “Foreign Exchange and International Trade Finance” at Janata Bank Staff College in Dhaka on Sunday.
The course, titled “Foreign Exchange and International Trade Finance, Batch 01/26”, was organised by Janata Bank Staff College.
A total of 25 officials from different branches of Janata Bank are participating in the training.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Mojibor highlighted Janata Bank’s longstanding role in foreign trade and gave instructions to expand the bank’s foreign trade operations.
He said foreign trade business offers one of the biggest opportunities for the bank to increase its non-interest income.
The deputy general manager, in charge of Janata Bank Staff College, along with other executives and faculty members, were present at the programme.
