OLGA GLUSHCHENKO – FRIDAY, 29 APRIL, 2022, 05:14 AFTERMATH OF SHOOTING IN HULIAIPOLE, PHOTO: ZAPORIZHZHIA ADMINISTRATION Russian invaders are continuing to shell the cities of Zaporizhzhia region, to use Ukrainian civilians as human shields and to force the introduction of a “ruble zone”. Source: Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration on Telegram Details: According to residents of the town of Vasylivka, there has been a significant increase in the number of Russian troops in the town. They are stationed in residential areas to hide behind civilians and use them as human shields. It is also known that Russian occupiers distribute humanitarian aid and medicine only to those who support them and facilitate their criminal activities. Many residents are refusing to cooperate with Russian occupiers. The situation in Polohy district remains tense. As a result of the terrorist actions of the Russian occupying forces, the amount of destruction is increasing daily. The towns of Orikhiv and Huliaipole and the surrounding settlements are under fire. The occupation commandant’s office is demanding that entrepreneurs open shops, cafes and leisure venues in the villages of Botieve and Stroganivka in Melitopol district. If they want to be able to work in safety, they must not stock Ukrainian goods in the stores. Instead, Ukrainian entrepreneurs are encouraged to trade in goods from Crimea and introduce Russian currency. The prosecutor’s office has launched a criminal investigation into the airstrike on Zaporizhzhia. Russian Armed Forces used a Kh-55 air-to-surface missile, targeting the city’s residential area. As a result of this attack, residential buildings have been destroyed. According to preliminary data, 5 people including an 11-year-old boy have been injured.
